Poseidon Fishing tourism was established in 2018 by Gerasimos Mourelatos. 2016 marks the beginning of “Fishing tourism” in Greece. The Greek government gave the
opportunity for the small fishing industry to get involved in this as part of national effort to support them. The life of a fisherman is hard, the plan was to attract more people to this profession, so that this long tradition would continue. This window of opportunity enabled Gerasimos to share his love, knowledge and passion of the sea. Fishing brings people together, sharing ideas and coming closer to various cultures we have made life time friends from around the world. The most important part of our journey is the feed back we get from our clients, describing our day out as lifetime experience, coming back every year to visit us again.
Gerasimos Mourelatos
Gerasimos has been fishing in Kefalonia and the Ionian sea
for more than 50 years. He is the 3 rd generation of fishermen
in his family! He build Poseidon with his hands and since
then decided to share his passion with people, showing them
the traditional ways of fishing, lifestyle but also secret
recipes that have been passed down generations! A man of
the sea!
Sissy Mourelatou
Sissy is the youngest daughter of Gerasimos, her connection
with the sea started from a very young age when she would
follow her grandfather and father out fishing.
She takes care of all bookings and is your host for your day
out at sea. She has inherited this passion from her father,
brought new ideas and momentum to the company as the
younger generations should.
