On this trip you have the opportunity to enjoy this experience

The day begins with a full breakfast onboard while slipping the lines and heading to our fishing grounds. The nets that have been laid the previous night are hoisted, our daily catch consists of a variety of fish (red mullet, crabs, red snapper, sole fish and of course Gambari the big shrimp). At sea, you never know, some days surprises might be caught. Taking part in the fishing is an integral part of this trip, while Captain Gerasimos and Sissy talk about the catch and the traditional way of fishing and knowledge that has been passed down for 4 generations. If you are a family it is truly a great way to get the kids involved.

After hoisting the nets we start heading to White Rocks beach for our first meze accompanied with tsipouro, while swimming in the crystal clear and turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea. Along the way we collect the fish from the nets and try to spot the local wildlife, including dolphin’s turtles and even seals if we are lucky.

Once we have enjoyed our short stop, we head to Vardiani Island for lunch, anchoring in a beautiful bay where everyone can have a swim and relax while lunch is being prepared. Happy hour is between 12:00 and 13:00 where the chest of sea games is opened. Don’t be fooled treasures are hidden! An alternative to the sea games if you have kids under 12 is to organize a treasure hunt that starts form White Rocks beach and ends at Vardiani Island. A small treasure is hidden and hopefully found which includes a map, a story and a jar full of small treasures that you can keep at the end of the day. Parents and kids take part in this, making unforgettable memories. This service is included in the price all you have to do is let us know when booking. Further, you also have the opportunity to bring your own fishing equipment or use ours and who knows you might get lucky and you will have it for lunch. Fishermen we await for you!

Now for the good part. The food is ready! On our wooden table you will find fresh salads, dips, bread and lots of local wine!

The fish dishes are served. Having separated the best part of the catch it is served grilled or fried depending on the type of fish. If you believe that the feast is over it is not. Our specialty “ Linquine a la Mais” with big shrimps is our last dish, so always keep some space for it.

At 15:00 we start heading back while enjoying a plate of fresh fruit and a last glass of white wine taking in the beautiful surroundings.

All recipes are family ones passed down for generations. The products that we use are local and the same that we use in our home.
